When we purchased Farms Edge it was a project that had been started and left as a shell. It had been framed and sheathed and left for several years. After the purchase we realized some of the plywood had started to deteriorate and mold so we stripped off 90% of the sheathing and completed the framing. At this point it continued as a new construction build. We wanted to carry the modern farmhouse theme throughout this 4000 sqft home. We installed 5“ wide oiled birch floors, a high end gas fireplace and a highly efficient heating/cooling system. Shiplap in the formal dining area and around the fireplace, as well as a custom double door barn feature overlooking the formal living room and a custom iron rod hand rail stayed consistent with the theme of the home.
